JENNA HEFT, DVM

Dr. Jenna Heft grew up in the Midwest but was lured out here by the promise of outdoor adventure, and has been happy to call the Seattle area home since 2012.

Academically, she studied Zoology at Michigan State University, and then went on to veterinary school at University of Illinois. After graduation she spent several years in general practice before landing at Urban Animal. She loves working with all of the fun and highly skilled veterinary professionals at Urban, and enjoys the variety of clients and patients she gets to see everyday.

Outside of clinic hours, she’s usually doing something in the mountains or on the water – snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking/backpacking, camping or boating/kayaking. Her husband, Will, and their two dogs, Diesel and Zucchini, are always up for an adventure. At the end of a long day outside or at work, she enjoys curling up with a good book, a cup of tea (she considers herself a budding connoisseur) and her kitty, Rafiki, in their home in West Seattle. Traveling is also a passion of hers and is always looking for the next itinerary to plan- suggestions in the PNW (or anywhere!) always welcome.
