Quality of Life Care

We All Worry Whether Our Pets Are Comfortable And Feel Okay. When You’re Concerned, Comfort Can Help.

Some might say “the only downside to having a dog or cat is that you tend to outlive them”. When you as a pet owner feel unsure, Comfort Animal can help with your worry and grief.

Common life-limiting conditions that may have you worrying about your pet

It can be a struggle when your pet is diagnosed with a life-limiting condition or is managing a chronic illness. While our veterinary professionals offer medical expertise, Comfort Animal offers focused support for pet owners from Mollyrose Dumm, who is certified in Animal Hospice & Palliative Care and as a Companion Animal End of Life Doula. When it’s time to say goodbye, Comfort Animal can also help pet owners with euthanasia planning.

Comfort Animal can help a pet owner make sense of what’s happening and how to best support a beloved companion through a 50-minute Initial Consult (and Follow-up Consults as needed). These are real conversations talking about grief and starting where owners feel comfortable.

After an Initial Consult is done, Comfort Animal can create a lasting memory as a Best Day Ever to commemorate the shared relationship of your pet. We can incorporate a few of your pet’s favorite things and help guide a small and intimate or big and showy experience.
