LARA KREYENHAGEN, DVM

Posted in: About

Dr. Lara Kreyenhagen grew up locally in Gig Harbor. She then spent 8 years in California earning her undergraduate and veterinary degree at University of California at Davis. After a short stint as an equine vet she found her true calling as a small animal veterinarian. She has been practicing in Seattle for the last 23 years. She is very excited to be joining the team at Urban Animal and to provide consistently great quality veterinary care.

Dr. Kreyenhagen serves on the board of the Doney Coe Pet Clinic for the homeless and low income and enjoys volunteering at their free clinics Doney Coe Pet Clinic. Visit doneycoe.org for more information.

When not working, Dr. Kreyenhagen enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. It is a lot quieter these days as they are now “empty nesters”. They do still have pets at home of course; a dog, 2 cats and a fish. She likes to stay active and can often be seen jogging around the streets of Capitol Hill and Montlake. She is a dressage rider and enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling with her family.
