Understanding Ranges: Lows and Highs
The high end of a range reflects additional services often performed at the time of these surgeries — adding to a visit’s estimated total cost. Additional services can be pre-anesthetic bloodwork, a microchip, an E-collar (for no-licking purposes), and/or take-home sedation meds to keep a rambunctious pet calmer. The high end also includes the extra expense if a pet is older or has gone through a heat cycle which creates a more complicated and costly surgical procedure. The low end of a range reflects none of the additional services and for a young/non-mature pet.
Prices vary widely based on level of dental disease and treatment needed; an exact estimate can be provided during a consultation.

Understanding Ranges: Lows and Highs
There are several factors that go into developing ranges for different procedures. Urban Animal believes option-based medicine creates accessibility and our medical team will discuss the reason behind recommended diagnostics to help aid in building a plan unique to the needs of you and your pet. The low end of ranges is for a small animal (cat or similar sized dog) and assumes minimal or no diagnostics. As the range expands, it takes into consideration a larger animal with more diagnostics performed.
