PLEASE WELCOME DR. MONTGOMERY

If you’ve stopped by recently, you might have noticed that we have a new name on our front door. Please welcome Dr. Josh Montgomery to the Urban Animal family! Since opening up last October, business has been steadily picking up and Dr. Trusheim realized she needed more time to work on the backend of the business, plus a little more time to recharge.
Dr. Montgomery was handpicked by Cherri because of their shared approach to sensible pet care. He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medical and did his clinical year at Washington State University. Josh became a vet because of a love for the animals and a love for teaching people about them.
A Northwest-native, Josh has lived in the city of Seattle for the past 7 years where he enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, paddle boarding, spending quality time with friends and family, and happy hours!
He and his partner, Irving, have 3 dogs (2 labs and a Chiweenie!). With all those dogs, it’s not surprising that Irving recently started his own dog walking service.
His favorite movies and tv shows include Dumb & Dumber, 50 First Dates, Star Wars, The Office, Survivor, and Real Housewives of Anywhere. (Real Housewives is a controversial topic at Urban Animal, with an even number of lovers and haters!)
Dr. Montgomery has spent time in South Africa to Southern Oregon working with all types of wildlife from monkeys to bears (not the same type of bears that frequent CC Attles, but he likes working with those kind, too!).
Josh will typically be working on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (with the occasional Tuesday). Both of our doctors come highly recommended and share a similar pet care philosophy, If you have a preference however, please feel free to call us and see who will be working during your next visit.
